Popeyes – Electric Foodservice Council

Challenge

Long time restaurateur and operator of five Popeye’s franchise stores found that using electric fryers, ovens, rethermalizers, holding cabinets realized energy savings and oil savings compared to other stores that are not all-electric.  Faster recovery time (speed at which cooking oil reaches proper temperature before food “drops” in fryers).  More consistent cooking and a cooler working environment for employees reinforced the choice to go electric with future stores.
